2017-2018 we kicked all seats (except the 2 front seats) and converted the trunk into a camper incl. a full insulation with Armaflex.

Updated with 2nd battery (AGM, 95Ah), Solar panel (100W), VOTRONIC Solar regulator MPP165 and VPC Terra Power control. 230VAC/500W Sinus inverter and 230VAC shore power supply.

Adding a Roof Top Tent

In this case it's a Gordigear Plus 140 - ERT01 with ladder extension


Camper setup at the Africa trip start in 2019...

Setup with alcohol stove, sink and Engel fridge/freezer.

Illuminated kitchen compartment.

Webasto Air Heater below cubby box.

Build on shower and restroom tent, 

additional 20l water can and Zarges box with vehicle recovery tools outside.

Water supply (input and shower output). 70l fresh water tank with filter and pump system. 


 New Rooftop tent and awning

Exchange from the Gordigear to the Alu-Cab Expedition 3, additionally also the old awning was replaced by the Alu-Cab Shadow-Awn 270. Everything managed by the guys from R&D (Gobi-X) in Capetown, SA.
