The issue with the parking break cable needs to be solved, so we will be replace it in Windhoek.
I talked to Henry Bisschof from LRON and we will set an appointment when I'm in Windhoek.

Receiving first offers for car transport from and to Port Elizabeth.
After some calls and discussions we changed the destinations to Walvis Bay and return from Port Elizabeth, SA. Transport starts from Bremerhaven.
Solution will be an Ro-Ro transport, so I have to prepare the car with some additional safety features.

Reservation form and required documents provided to Seabridge
Departure will be from Antwerp, what requires an additional trip to Belgium.
I also decided to take the transport insurance. Price is arround 1% of the vehicle value incl. transport costs.

Received cargo insurance Policy for the YETI from Antwerp to Walvis Bay. Insured by Allianz Esa (ADS Güterversicherung 1973 in der Fassung 1984 / TR 407/96)

Driving to Antwerp and setup all safety features, after fixing an issues with the starter motor.
Car was not starting again after parking at the hotel. VAB Breakdown Assistance fixed the issue (corroded ground connection to the engine block).
We also got great feedback from the OB emergency message call. We got a contact of an Defender expert in Antwerp.
2019-08-19
Did some photos of the car and drove to the ICO Terminal to handover the car.
Handover was smooth and easy and took just 1 hour.
Took the taxi to Antwerp Central Rail Station and used the train in direction to Amsterdam.
From Amsterdam we took the plane back to Hamburg.

Send a customs declaration to Seabridge (value of my motorhome which I use for tourist purpose has a value of approx. EUR 23.000,-). Document was required form the Antwerp customs.

After a phone call with Seabridge I received a verbal loading confirmation for the YETI. I will also receive an invoice for the shipment.
Talked to the hauler Eddi Dichtl in Namibia. We agreed a handover of the required documents prior to the pick date in Walvis Bay. He will also take care about the road tax paper that is required (400N$).

Received final freight invoice for shipment to Walvis Bay. Freight incl. port charges in Antwerp is 1.955,-EUR.

Received Express Bill Of Lading for the return handover at Walvis Bay. The hauler is informed by Seabridge an has received all documents except CdP.

The Carnet de Passage (CdP) is an international customs document. It is required in certain countries of Africa, Asia and South America as well as in Australia and New Zealand for duty-free and temporary importation of a vehicle.

Sign up for the Carnet de Passage, after spending crazy, shit,.... amount of money just for deposit and issuing fee.
Hopefully that was the biggest financial milestone, at least for now...
At June 4th the ADAC confirmed all documents and deposits are ok, the CdP handover takes place on June 12th.

After the offer from African Overlanders I changed the flights and arranged to drop the car at African Overlanders for shipping in a HC Container instead of RoRo for less.
Fly back from Cape Town with KLM on January 20th 2020 (00:30hh)
Preparation of the car for container transport and a last photo of the car before leaving Africa.
